(AP) - The 2014 wine grape harvest in Washington totaled a record 227,000 tons, an eight percent increase over the year before, according to officials with Washington State Wine.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that 2014 was the third year of record harvest in a row.

Officials at Washington State Wine said they expect 2015 to be another record year, if the weather cooperates.
