Growers Discuss Winemaking Transition
Mar 19, 2010
San Luis Obispo,CA - There’s not much wineries can do about the economy, David Freed said this week; the best they can do is change and adapt. Freed, chairman of the Silverado Group, welcomed an audience of about 110 winemakers and winegrowers at the 15th annual Central Coast Insights program in San Luis Obispo.
Following Freed’s message of adaptation, Bob Schiebelhut, principal of Tolosa Winery and Courtside Cellars, gave a talk called “The Business of Change,” which focused on manipulating internal factors for the good of your company. The take-home message? Be ready to act reactively and proactively.
