WASHINGTON(AP) — The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America spent $280,000 in the fourth quarter lobbying the federal government on food safety and transportation, according to a recent disclosure report. That's up from the $240,000 the group spent in the year-ago period and the $260,000 it spent in the third quarter of 2009. The national trade organization, whose members distribute wine and spirits sold in the U.S., lobbied on labor, the budget and other issues.
