Korea plans to issue a quality certificate for traditional rice wine starting in August as part of its efforts to fuel the development of better products and improve consumer rights, the government said yesterday. The National Tax Service (NTS) and farm ministry said the certificate label will be placed on bottles of makgeolli rice wine. The labels will inform consumers that the product meets set quality standards.
