You no longer have to venture all the way to Napa Valley, California to sip on good wine. "The wine business in South Dakota has increased dramatically over the last 5 to 6 years," said Prairie Berry Services Manager, Mike Hackett. In fact, the South Dakota Agriculture Department says it expects wineries to increase production, and produce more than 60,000 gallons of wine in 2010. That's equal to roughly 300,000 bottles of wine. Managers at Prairie Berry Winery in Hill City are doing what they can to keep up with the ever fermenting industry. "This past summer we've just added 30,000 gallons of production capacity to keep up with demand," said Hacket.
