(MLB) - Wine by Design (WBD) and Major League Baseball Properties (MLBP) are excited to announce their new relationship to feature limited edition, collectible baseball wines, featuring an exclusive 2013 MLB All-Star Game themed wine, Midsummer Classic, named after the All-Star Game, plus a collection for the San Francisco Giants. The Boston Red Sox collection will be available later this month with plans to expand to more teams throughout the season.

For the 2013 MLB All-Star Game, WBD and MLBP are releasing a premium production of a 2012 Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon, limited to 1,500 cases. The wine is handcrafted by winemaker Julien Fayard of Le Pich wines. Fayard who has both studied and worked in France and California, specifically Bordeaux, the Loire Valley and Napa Valley, has hands-on experience at wineries such as Lafite Rothschild, Smith Haut Lafitte and Quintessa.
