(BizJournals) - This year's winners of the seventh annual Wine Blog Awards were announced yesterday, led by Terroirist: A Daily Wine Blog, which won top honors as Best Overall Wine Blog.

The awards, made by a panel of judges and public voting, were announced at the recently concluded Wine Bloggers Conference in Penticton, British Columbia.

Winners included:

• Best Overall Wine Blog: Terroirist: A Daily Wine Blog.
• Best New Wine Blog: Chasing the Vine.
• Best Writing on a Wine Blog: Hosemaster of Wine.
• Best Winery Blog: Journey of Jordan.
• Best Single Subject Wine Blog: Washington Wine Report.
• Best Wine Reviews on a Blog: Bigger Than Your Head.
• Best Wine Industry/Business Blog: The Wine Curmudgeon.
• Best Original Photography or Video on a Wine Blog: Journey of Jordan.
• Best Blog Post of The Year: "The Death of Wine Critics," Hosemaster of Wine

The awards are intended to honor great wine blogs and raise "the profile of the wine blogging community to the public at large," said Joel Vincent, organizer of the annual awards and co-founder of the Wine Bloggers Conference.
