PARKER APPOINTS THREE NEW CRITICS
Apr 25, 2013
(TheDrinksBusiness) - A trio of new wine critics have joined Robert Parker’s ever-expanding team at The Wine Advocate.
Indiana-born Jeb Dunnock, founder of The Rhône Report website, has taken over from Parker as the bi-monthly publication’s Rhône critic.
Meanwhile, US-born, Rome-based Monica Larner has replaced Antonio Galloni as The Wine Advocate’s Italy critic. Galloni left TWA in February to focus on his own website, antoniogalloni.com. A certified sommelier, in 2003 Larner became Wine Enthusiast magazine’s first Italian editor. Having left the post to join The Wine Advocate, Italian wine expert Kerin O’Keefe has taken up the role at WE.
Finally, Spaniard Luis Gutierrez will look after Spain, Argentina and Chile for TWA. One of the founders of wine website elmundovino.com, in May 2011 Madrid-based Gutierrez was made the Spanish correspondent for JancisRobinson.com.
