(NVR) - Editor: “The rich need to pay their fair share. The wealthy should pay their fair share. It’s only fair!” Have you heard those phrases coming out of the mouths of politicians lately? It seems that every time our president speaks he uses them over and over and over: “The rich should pay their fair share.” That phrase came to mind while reading the article in the March 2 Napa Valley Register about farmworkers needing affordable housing. Why, you ask? Well, a $110,000 survey paid for by the county (our tax dollars) to assess the housing needs of wine industry workers found that almost 50 percent describe themselves as undocumented.
