ARGENTINA: Nomacorc sets sights on wine export boom

Mar 7, 2013

(Just-Drinks) - Nomacorc has opened a plant in Argentina to target the country's “rapid growth” in wine exports. The factory, in San Juan province, was inaugurated last month and is the wine-closure producer's first phase in a multi-year expansion plan for Argentina, the company said yesterday (6 March). “The rapid growth of the Argentinian wine industry and wine exports to markets like the United States have made the timing right to establish a local operation,” Lars von Kantzow, president and CEO of Nomacorc, said. Nomacorc claims to make about 13% of the world's wine closures.
