(Wines&Vines) - Scientists gave 15-minute presentations about research they are conducting related to wine and winegrapes during a daylong conference recently at the University of California, Davis. The participating researchers received funding from one of the agencies that participate in the Unified Grant Management for Viticulture and Enology program (UGMVE). UGMVE director Dr. Deborah Golino, who is also director of the Foundation Plant Services at UC Davis, gave an update about the grapevine red blotch-associated virus at the service’s Classic Foundation Vineyard and the Russell Ranch Foundation vineyard.
