(TheDrinksBusiness) - Bibendum Wine has sold Argento Wine Company to Argentine wine group Inversora Agroindustrial Sudamericana. The move, which was completed last week, will see the Argento increase its winery and vineyard capacity, gaining access to “some of the most prestigious vineyards” in the Agrelo and Uco Valley regions of Mendoza. Argento joins an Inversora wine portfolio that includes fellow Argentine winery Bodega Vistalba, as well as Bodega Garzon in Uruguay and Renwood Winery in Amador County, California. “We are very pleased to have completed this important step in the development of our international wine business,” commented Inversora directors Alejandro Bulgheroni and Carlos Pulenta.
