Bordeaux grape quality better than 2011

Sep 14, 2012

(TheDrinksBusiness) - Head of the newly-expanded wine division of French bank Credit Agricole is forecasting a better vintage this year than 2011 as it gears up for the harvest in Bordeaux. Despite a very wet June and July in the famous wine region, the grapes are in better condition than last year according to Thierry Budin, managing director of the bank’s châteaux collection called CA Grands Crus. “We are looking at harvesting a good vintage,” he said when speaking to the drinks business earlier this week, before admitting that the company also had a right bank property to manage for the first time this year.
