US: Texas grape growers produce healthy yields

(Lubbockonline) - With the 2012 wine grape harvest approaching, growers in the High Plains are optimistic about the quality of this year’s crop. Bobby Cox, a Texas wine grape grower, said the industry is looking to have the best harvest in many years. “Grapes more or less like dry climate,” he said. “It’s looking to be a very good crop.” A majority of the grapes in the High Plains are used to supply wineries.
