Wine Intolerance May Be Experienced By 7 Percent Of Adults, Study Suggests

(HuffingtonPost) - We've all heard about the heart-healthy perks of enjoying red wine in moderation. But a certain segment of the population might not be able to reap those benefits -- according to new research, about 7 percent of people might actually have a physical intolerance to alcohol. A new study in the German peer-reviewed science journal Deutsches Arzteblatt International shows that "wine intolerance" may affect 8.9 percent of women and 5.2 percent of men.
