(Wines&Vines) - An Australian wine company, Accolade Wines, has purchased Geyser Peak Winery in Geyserville, Calif. Included in the sale of the 250,000-case winery were the Atlas Peak and XYZin brands, all of which had been owned by Ascentia Wine Estates. The deal appears to be one of the final chapters for the ill-fated wine company. The final news came today in a prepared statement, which did not include terms of the purchase. Accolade Wines chief executive officer Troy Christensen said in the news release that the deal would spearhead his company’s growth in the United States.
