(Express) - ONLINE vintner Naked Wines is to invest £5.5million in vineyards in the US and Australia as part of a drive to start selling in the two countries. The investment, using cash from its customers, known as “angels”, will support 22 winemakers. Among the projects is £250,000 to help Sam ­Plunkett, who won a 2010 award for his Australian shiraz, to set up his own label and £880,000 to ­create a winemaking studio in Napa, California.
