Schumer addresses wine industry worry about counterfeit ice wine

May 2, 2012

(MPNNow) - U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer is urging the federal government to crack down on counterfeit wine that the U.S. wine industry says is flooding the market, leaving high-quality wine from the Finger Lakes region unable to compete. Schumer will meet with industry leaders at Sheldrake Point Winery in Ovid, Seneca County, at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, to discuss his efforts.
