The fact that such wines are popular these days prompted me to look into the category. So I called a wine snob. He declined to be interviewed. He was too busy tracking down the latest cult wine. Lacking an expert to call, I went on the internet and put in the names of a handful of cult wines. I found out that they were pretty much sold out. So I called my friend the snob back and just asked one question. Why are they sold out?
