(Wines&Vines) - Clarksburg winegrowers were advised to take advantage of their grape variety and quality strengths to earn higher prices and more recognition in the current grape market. Trends show strong demand for Pinot Noir and sparkling wines, and overall growth for white varietals. Jeff Bitter, VP and grape supply manager with Allied Grape Growers, Fresno, shared the positive message at the annual Clarksburg Grape Day held March 7, presented by the Clarksburg Wine Growers & Vintners Association (CWGVA) and the University of California Cooperative Extension for Sacramento County.
