(NapaValleyRegister) - A wine bottle–washing business that had won the backing of well-known wine country names is seeking more than $2 million in damages against the Ohio-based manufacturer of an industrial-scale bottle washer, according to court documents. American Canyon–based Wine Bottle Renew alleges in its suit filed Feb. 28 in Napa County Superior Court that Niagara Systems LLC of Perry, Ohio, delivered the machine 10 months late to the company’s Stockton facility. And when it arrived, the $358,000 machine, vital to its operations, allegedly did not work as promised, the lawsuit said.
