(Just-drinks) - Global exports of Burgundy wines rose 16.5% in value thansk to strong gains in the US, according to trade body Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins du Bourgogne (BIVB). Value sales totalled EUR666.5m (US$882m) for the 12 months to the end of Decemebr. However, export volumes fell by 1.5% on 2010, to almost 88m bottles, BIVB said today (27 February). The value increase was largely due to shipments to the US, Burgundy's second export market after the UK. Exports to the US rose by 33% to EUR141m, with volumes up 19%
