US: Water for Wine: Deadline Looms

(Wines&Vines) - Vineyard owners in Mendocino and Sonoma counties who have in the past diverted water from the Russian River to protect their vines against frost have until Feb. 1 either to draft initial water plans or violate new water regulations. These initial plans will provide the basis of a “water demand management program” to comply with a regulation enacted by the California State Water Resources Control Board.
