AUS: Blaze destroys more than $1m worth of wine

(Brisbanetimes) - Fire has destroyed more than $1 million worth of premium wine at a family-owned winery in Queensland's Granite Belt overnight. The Puglisi family, of Ballandean Estate Wines near Stanthorpe, have been devastated by the fire which extensively damaged a warehouse holding five year's worth of stock. Leeanne Puglisi-Gangemi, who operates the winery with her husband Mario, parents Angelo and Mary, and sister Robyn, said the family's bottled wine stocks and machinery and equipment had been destroyed by the blaze which tore through the storage shed from about 3.40am.
