US: New York : $4.6M announced to boost wine/grape industry

(MPNnow) - U.S. Sen, Chuck Schumer announced today that nearly $4.6 million in federal dollars will go to Cornell University for research and related work to boost the wine and grape industries. Specifically, the U.S. Department of Agriculture will put $2.5 million toward a project that boosts production and marketing of cold climate grapes and wines in the Upper Midwest and Northeast regions of the nation, which includes New York state.
