US: Michigan's grape and wine industry receives $225,733 to enhance viticulture program
Sep 30, 2011
(Mlive) - The state’s grape and wine industry got a boost with the award of $225,733, over the next four years to Michigan State University, to get workers educated to meet more of the industry’s needs.
The National Science Foundation awarded Michigan and 16 other states money for the Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA) program, creating a National Center of Excellence, which supports the rapidly developing grape and wine industry in the United States, according to a news release from MSU.
