Turkish Wine Industry on Track to Lead in Europe

DENIZLI — Turkey's winemaking industry is on the way to taking the lead in the European market, a Turkish wine industry official said. Speaking to the AA, Second chairman of the Turkish Association of Wine Producers and president of the Executive Board of Pamukkale Winemaking, Yasin Tokat said that the quality of Turkish wines has constantly improved. As quality improves, Turkish wines win awards in international competitions. Turkish wines of Doluca, Kavaklidere, Kayra, Pamukkale, Sevilen, Selendi, Vinkara and Yazgan won 150 different awards at the recent London International Wine Fair, Tokat said.
