US Report: North Coast wine prices on rebound

Apr 27, 2011

The high-end wine industry, which took a financial beating the past few years and represents a large slice of Sonoma County production, has finally hit bottom and sales will grow 11 percent to 15 percent this year, according to a report released Wednesday morning. The report, which analyzed sales of bottles over $20, forecasts that wine lovers will begin returning to luxury wines after nearly three years of turning to lower-priced alternatives from the Central Valley and overseas.
