The Barossa has a strong future as a grape growing and winemaking region, says the Barossa Grape and Wine Association (BWGA). Their comment is in response to the Wine Grape Council of SA’s latest forecast which warns grape growers that there is a high risk of the current downturn in the wine industry lasting for another decade. Optimism shown by the Barossa industry comes after both growers and winemakers set up the regional association to represent and market the region through BWGA with their own money.
