Traminette, the signature wine variety for Indiana, is steadily gaining additional growers and aficionados. "We had a winery tell us that Traminette sales were up 300 percent since last year," said Jeanette Merritt, wine marketing specialist at Purdue University. "We have new wineries opening all the time, and they're planting Traminette grapes."
