Maryland, New Jersey and Connecticut vintners get federal funds to build business. In this stressful economy, small wineries often have a difficult time finding capital to expand their businesses. This can be especially challenging in those states where a wine industry is just beginning to flourish. Recently, grants to wineries and wine associations were announced that will help develop wine business in three eastern states: Maryland, New Jersey and Connecticut.
