Beam Global Spirits & Wine is set to trim yet further the wine side of its business by divesting the Cockburn's Port brand to Symington Family Estates.The Fortune Brands-owned unit, which sold off the bulk of its wine business to Constellation Brands in 2007, said earlier today (7 October) that the deal was a "win-win" for the two companies. Financial details behind the sale, however, were not disclosed.
