Wine consultant accused of cheating Wall Streeters hit by more claims

Oct 23, 2019

(NYPost) - Two high-end French wine estates are trying to claw back $115,000 from a New York businessman who’s been accused of running a “Ponzi-like” scheme that defrauded Wall Street bigwigs out of millions of dollars.

Omar Khan, known for hosting exclusive wine parties for titans of industry, promised — and then failed — to pay the two world-class Burgundy estates for services they provided toward his lavish dinner parties in 2018 and 2019, according to a pair of summons filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The demands for money are the latest legal woes for Khan, who — as The Post reported last month — is being investigated by prosecutors in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Major Economic Crimes bureau for fraud.
