Oregon Liquor Commission Challenges California-Produced Wine Brand
Nov 30, 2018
(Forbes) - Joe Wagner, of the Caymus wine brand fame, made major headlines in 2015 when he sold his family’s Meiomi brand to Constellation Brands for a whopping $315 million. While he is hardly the first winemaker to have produced a wine brand from grapes shipped over a state border, he has been continually criticized by numerous Oregon producers about his Oregon-themed labels that are produced in California.
