(Express) - FRENCH Agriculture Minister Didier Guillaume has warned French wine is “better than American wine” after US President Donald Trump sent a series of blistering messages on Twitter last week accusing Paris of imposing unfair trade practices that kept US producers out of the French wine market.

Washington has ramped up trade battles with almost all major world economies, prompting the EU to slap new tariffs on one of the most popular US alcoholic beverages, bourbon.
