The World's Most Expensive Cognacs

Oct 27, 2018

(Wine-Searcher) - There some fresh news faces on this year's list of the world's fanciest brandies.

Rich, lush and the color of old gold, nothing quite says money like a bottle of Cognac.

But how much money are really talking? Well the most expensive Cognac is a full $246,449 more than DRC Romanée-Conti, Burgundy's most expensive wine, which has an average price of  $19,504. Put it this way, if the world of Burgundy is rarefied, then the world of Cognac is so lofty that it's now the mythological stuff of the gods.

Since last year there have been a few changes with Martell and Pierre Chabanneau noticeably dropping off, however number one remains the same.

1. Hennessy Beauté du Siécle, Grande Champagne Eyewatering doesn't come close: at an average price of $265,953 the Beauté du Siécle is extraordinarily expensive.
