(TDB) - Entrepreneur and CEO of electric car and solar power company Tesla, Elon Musk, has revealed his company has filed an application to trademark ‘Teslaquila’, meaning that what was originally an April Fool’s prank could become a reality.

Musk first made reference to the product on 1 April 2018 in a prank in which he tweeted that Tesla had gone bankrupt and “Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by “Teslaquilla” bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks”.

However, Tesla officially filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark “Teslaquila” on 8 October.
