(WinesandVines) - Northwest wineries are taking steps to strengthen their sense of place, pursuing conjunctive labeling while at the same time creating new sub-appellations that refine consumers’ understanding of their regions.

Willamette Valley wineries submitted three concepts for bills to the state’s legislative council this week, in advance of the Sep. 28 deadline for proposals for legislation in the next session of the state legislature in February 2019.
