(WB) - Swanson vineyards - not the winery - sold for $38 million to the Huneeus family, according to Napa County records. The sale does not include Swanson Vineyards. Vintage Wine Estates purchased Swanson Vineyards in 2015.

The Huneeus family has purchased about 80 acres of vineyard land in Oakville, according to Napa County records.

W. Clarke Swanson Jr. sold the land – about 86 acres - for approximately $38 million, according to deeds signed Aug. 31 and registered Tuesday in Napa. The parcels sold include a 74-acre parcel off Oakville Crossroad Road and Money Road, where a winery could be built, according to county records.

The buyer is listed as “1000 Oakville Cross Road LLC,” according to the deeds. Its address listed with the California Secretary of State is 1040 Main Street, Suite 204, in Napa – the same as Huneeus Vintners.
