(WB) - It may be easier for small producers to enter the bubbly market.

Christian Troussieux, of Napa-based Brut Bottling, on Monday announced the creation a new custom crush service for sparkling wine. The new business, Brut Custom Crush, serves clients that want to produce 200 to 100,000 cases of sparkling wine. 

Brut Custom Crush is a partnership between The Wine Foundry, a custom-crush facility in Napa; Craig Roemer, a former winemaker at Schramsberg Vineyards and a consultant based in Petaluma; and Troussieux’ Brut Bottling, a mobile bottling service, according to Troussieux. Brut Custom Crush, located near The Wine Foundry in south Napa, also offers storage for its sparkling wine clients.

“There was a need for it,” Troussieux said Monday. “It’s such a growing market,” he said, of the sparkling wine industry.
