(Syracuse) - Hunt Country Vineyards, on Keuka Lake, has been a farm for seven generations and a winery since 1981. It began making ice wines in 1987, which it claims makes it the "oldest continuous producer of ice wines in the United States."

Hunt County uses the traditional method of ice wine production, in which grapes are left to freeze on the vine. They are picked while frozen, often in th coldest hours of the day or night.
