(Wines&Vines) - As another harvest comes to an end across North America, it seems wineries are having little trouble selling the wines of previous vintages.

Total U.S. sales of domestic wines grew by 5% in September to $3.6 billion, and the 12-month total increased by 3% to $38.9 billion. All of the other key Wine Industry Metrics tracked by Wines Vines Analytics grew by several percentage points in September.

According to the market research group bw166, total U.S. wine sales, including imports, reached $59 million in the past 12 months through September. Domestic wines retained their market share despite a 4% increase in the sales of packaged imports that totaled nearly $20 billion.
