(Eledecor) - Donald Trump seemingly makes headlines daily for his presidential campaign strategy, but it was a detail about his forthcoming D.C. hotel's bar that caught my attention this afternoon.

According to Travel Weekly, the Cortile will offer a variety of libations including 17 different champagnes, and will play host to daily bottle sabering. A bit opulent, but nothing too crazy.

"The Cortile is the centerpiece of the hotel," Daniel Mahdavian, the director of food and beverage, told the industry publication. That's when things got interesting.

He also mentioned that the bar will feature "wines by the spoon," a program in which guests can order "ounce-size samples of rare and expensive wine on a silver spoon."

The idea behind the service is nice — who doesn't like tasting hard-to-find wines? — but the wealth metaphor is a bit obvious, no?
