Indiana: Carmel 'mompreneur' launches state's first wine truck

Jun 16, 2016

(IndyStar) - It’s not exactly an adult ice-cream truck, but it’s close. The state’s first wine truck is rolling into an event near you, and it even has a name.

“Vinny” is the brain child of Carmel resident Jenn Kampmeier. The self-described “serial momprenuer” is owner of the new Vino Mobile Bar, one of a dozen businesses she has started throughout the years. She currently hosts family consumer events IndyFamilyFest and Rock the Cradle.

Kampmeier, 42, started her first "business" at just 7 years old when she bought a gumball machine from a friend's dad. Since then, she always has created businesses that parallel what is going on in her life, she said.

“When I was single, I had a singles company. When I had my son, I had the baby expo. As he grew older, we went to the family expo.”

Her latest endeavor is bringing wine to concerts, parties, weddings and other events in Central Indiana.
