(SonomaNews) - This weekend’s April in Carneros event takes place at 15 wineries across the Carneros region on the outskirts of Sonoma. Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, wineries will offer wine, food and music.

This year’s participating wineries include Bonneau, Ceja, Cline, Gloria Ferrer, Ty Caton, Robledo, Homewood, Jacuzzi, Larson, Meadowcroft, Posideon, Keating, Schug and Starmont. The small plate dishes on the menu (included in the ticket price) include lobster bisque, pulled pork sliders with coleslaw, wine infused cupcakes, BBQ oysters, Greek lentil salad, Asian noodle salad and a dozen more selections.

Tickets are $75 or $15 for a designated driver with profits going to viticulture scholarships to Santa Rosa Junior College and Napa Valley College. carneroswineries.org.

The Carneros Winery Collective was formed to support its members in marketing their wines while promoting educational advancement through scholarships at Napa Valley College and Santa Rosa Junior College.
