Peju Province Winery purchases Acacia Vineyard facility

Feb 1, 2016

(NVR) - Peju Province Winery has purchased the Acacia Vineyard and Winery facility from Diageo as of Jan. 1.

The purchase of the facility is the first new acquisition for Peju since the winery opened in 1983 and comes as Peju is looking to expand its brand, said a news release.

Acacia Vineyard and Winery is located on a 100-acre estate in the Carneros wine region and has a 100,000-case production capacity.

While the facility will be owned and operated by Peju Province Winery, it will operate under a different brand name. Further information and announcements will be released in the upcoming months, said the release.

“It has always been a long-term goal of the company’s to own more than one winery,” said spokeswoman Ariana Peju. “We are thrilled with our recent purchase and look forward to extending and enhancing our brand.”

The acquisition was led by Vintage Capital and Unity Bank.
