Belarus, Moldova to start joint venture to make wine
Nov 9, 2015
(BelTA) - Belarus and Gagauzia are planning to establish a joint venture to make wines at the Bykhov Vegetable Processing Factory, Belarus' Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova Sergei Chichuk said during the investment contest held in Comrat, BelTA has learned.
The diplomat also recalled that before the end of this year Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory and Cricova Wine Company are planning to produce Belarus's first batch of sparkling wines under the Cricova brand. Cricova Wine Company will supply the wine materials to Belarus and Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory will bottle sparkling wine.
The first batch of sparkling wine made within the framework of the Belarusian-Moldovan project will be released in December, ahead of the New Year celebrations. Bykhov Vegetable Processing Factory was established in 2001.
In March 2006, by the President of Belarus's decree it was named core manufacturer of fruit and vegetable canned products in Mogilev Oblast. Currently, Bykhov Vegetable Processing Factory is one of the largest producers of canned fruit and vegetable in Belarus.
