Peconic Bay Vineyards is seeking a salesperson to develop our product throughout the Metropolitan New York area. This full-time position is solely dedicated to promoting, administering, and selling Peconic Bay Vineyards products. The starting salary range will be a competitive $40,000 - $60,000 base pay commensurate with experience, plus performance and commission overrides. Auto reimbursement will be included. Benefits include holidays, earned vacation, accrued sick days, and a health care plan (with employee participation).Peconic Bay Vineyards (PBV) is a medium-sized, close-knit, family-owned North Fork winery poised for rapid expansion over the next several years. As such, opportunities for personal, professional, and financial growth abound with this position. The ideal candidate must exhibit the energy, organizational skills, and drive to be a successful salesperson. Sales experience, especially wholesale wine sales, is a plus, but we will accept and train a candidate exhibiting the correct skills to be successful as a wine salesperson.
As this is an inaugural sales position at PBV, the duties and responsibilities will evolve as the position develops and the needs and goals of the winery evolve. However, listed below are several requirements;
•Candidate must be able to obtain an NYS Solicitors permit to sell wine (Must be at least 21 years of age).Be able to work flexible hours that may include some nights and weekends.
•Be able to move and carry at least 40lb cases as needed.
•Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
•Must have access to and be able to use a reliable vehicle.
•Must possess the necessary organizational and people skills and motivation for success.
