Apex Wine Solutions is experiencing high growth and we are looking for a senior store supervisor for our wine retail shop that has the opportunity to become the store manager, ideally with their own eventual team. We can offer a very competitive hourly wage to start and 50% sales commissions. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidy expanding wine retail business.

We are open to persons of diverse backgrounds, wine experience is not necessary if there is an eagerness to learn and grow.
Role: Wine Retail Senior Store Supervisor
Role Description: As the senior associate, you will begin as the #2 to the two business owners. This role will grow as the business grows ideally to be the store manager, ideally with a team you would help manage. The role encompasses wearing several different hats from a retail and operations perspective. Right now, we are not open to the public, so walk in business is very limited. In time, as COVID becomes less of a concern, we will re-open to the public at regular business hours and regular customer interaction. You will help with in store and out of store wine tasting events for promotional and sales opportunities. There will be opportunity for sales commissions.
Pay: Generous hourly pay to start + commissions on newly generated organic sales. Product discount for personal purchases. Successful person will be promoted within 6 months to salary. If conditions allow, we’ll hire a 4th person ASAP that you will manage to assist with the below tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Receive wine product from suppliers
Book purchase invoices
Book Sales invoices
Physically Organize Sales of Wines to Customer Accounts
Pack customer orders
Ship customer orders
Create content for sales
Delivery to local customers
Shop maintenance and organization
Spreadsheet and website maintenance
Social Media content + maintenance

Ideal experience:
Wine/beverage industry experience is NOT a must but certainly helps
2-6 years retail or wholesale experience (wine/bar/restaurant is a plus)
Customer facing/interaction experience
Excel and Word skills
Email and Social Media marketing skills
Must be able to lift 40lb boxes
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be open to background check
