Description:
Type of wine: Red Reserva. Region: Ribera del Duero D.O. Vintage: 2006. Alcohol content: 13% - 13,5% Vol. Grape variety: 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino). Vinification: Traditional in stainless steel deposits, with 100% destemmed grapes, 3 or 4 daily overpumping. Fermentation temperature controlled to 25 - 30 °C for 20 - 25 days. Subsequently it is run-off and left for decanting until barrels are filled. Ageing process in barrels: From 18 to 24 months, depending on the evolution, with racking every 3 or 6 months. Ageing process in bottle: Minimum 12 months before their marketing with bottles lying in metal cages in underground rooms at a temperature no greater than 16 °C. Type of barrel: 85% american oak barrels, 15% french oak barrels. Serving temperature: 18 °C. TASTING NOTES Cherry red colour, bright and clear with good depths. Clean nose, highly complex bouquet, with hints of balsam and vanilla. In mouth, it has the taste of a very well-made wine, smooth but with powerful flavours with a long and full finish with attractive nuances of aged wine and fruit in the aftertaste. Powerful. Recommended for red meat and roasts.0 Review(s):

Rating a wine is not for experts alone. This skill can be developed by anyone with enough practice and exposure and it starts with understanding the elements in winemaking, tasting and rating. There are basically 4 areas where wines are rated. These are appearance, aroma, taste and after taste.
